Description:
In the period between 1953-1961, 2 dozen modernly inspired schools were designed in Lisbon, 4 of which were in Alvalade, including the Teixeira de Pascoaes School, designed by the architect Ruy Athougia and inaugurated in 1961.
The school has a design developed in length based on a ground floor with a terraced roof.
The Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Teixeira de Pascoaes Elementary and Middle School is part of the program for the expansion and modernization of Public Schools, launched by the Lisbon City Council.
