Description:
Located in the middle of Avenida da República, one of the busiest in Lisbon, the Versailles Building was built in 1919 by José Tomás de Sousa.

This building stands out for its eclectic architecture and early-nineteenth-century characteristics, but also for its simple rectangular plan and accentuated verticality.

In 1996 it was classified as a Property of Public Interest.

It consists of 6 floors, and on floor 0 is the prestigious and emblematic Pastelaria Versailles, inaugurated on November 25, 1922, by Salvador Antunes.

In 2000, the remodel project for the entire building was developed, to allow the operation of offices on the upper floors, as well as the recovery of its emblematic facade.
